It's essential to all life. We need it to survive, the planet needs it to keep it's beauty alive! Today I want to talk about some of the health benefits of water and what is does for our health and beautiful life!
Better Quality Sleep
Staying hydrated is essential for our bodies to function properly, but a hydrated body can also help you sleep deeper. Here's how:
Water is essentially fuel for our body, like gasoline is for a car. The fuller our tank, the better we run! When we are fully hydrated at night, our bodies are able to perform nightly functions more easily and efficiently. That means fighting off diseases, repairing muscle tissues, restoring memory, and many other functions. When your body is able to function more easily, we are able to slip into a deeper sleep at night because it's able to perform smoothly. Deep sleep also allows our hormones to balance throughout the night. Hormones control essentially the entire body - so we want them to be healthy.

Flavour up your water by adding frozen fruit to it! Change it up every week or whatever you have on hand! Fresh herbs such as basil can also add bonus nutrients and surprising flavour! If you enjoy pop throughout your day, try sparkling water instead! It gives you that carbonated taste but helps you prepare for a good night's rest and recharge! Don't forget to always have water beside you when you go to sleep and wake up in the morning!
Skin Health
Healthy skin not only looks good, but it feels good for our internal body too.
Hydrated skin helps flush toxins from the cells that make up our skin, which then helps our skin look and feel fresher.
The elasticity of our skin is higher when it is hydrated, meaning the less look of wrinkles and fine lines. It also keeps your lotion on for longer periods of time!
Skin is able to heal cuts, bruises, and sunburns much quicker when it's hydrated because the cells are healthier and there are more of them to perform.
Drinking enough water allows for your body to produce the normal amount of oil it needs to stay hydrated, meaning less blemishes and acne.
Liver Health
The liver is responsible for holding parts of the body's blood content at any given time. Each blood cell contains about 90% water. When your blood cells are fully hydrated, they are able to move much more freely. These cells are then able to pass through your liver smoothly, helping your liver run more efficiently.

Helps Us Keep Active
When our body is hydrated, we have more energy from the functions of our body operating smoothly. Being hydrated will help motivate you to get that workout in for the day, such as going for a walk, doing a strength workout, or yoga!
