My Signature Caesar

Caesars. Need I say more?

The most savory drink of them all. Salty with a hint of spice and a powerful taste of pickle juice. Okay... now I need to go make one right now.

I honestly & truly believe that I make the best Caesars in the world. I've made Caesars for people who hate Caesars...and then they ask for a second! Yeah, Caesar queen.👑

Do you think you are up for the delicious challenge of recreating my signature caesar? I call it "Samara's Caesar". Ahh, sounds like it was meant to be!

First, I want to talk about each ingredient and give you some of the health benefits of each. Yes, even vodka has some surprising health benefits! Please note this is not professional medical advice. Always seek the advice of a qualified health professional should you have any questions or concerns. Now onto the the fun part!

Ingredients:

  • Mott's Clamato The Original

  • Worcestershire (I like Lea & Perrins)

  • Tabasco Hot Sauce

  • Nando's Peri-Peri Sauce Lemon & Herb

  • Freshly squeezed lemon

  • Freshly squeezed lime

  • Pickle juice (3 day pickles is best..google it) • pickled bean juice • pickled carrot juice • pickled asparagus juice

  • Lots of ice

  • Smooth 42 Habanero & Garlic Vodka

  • Pickle Vodka (I prefer Lucky Bastard Birmingham's Dill Pickle Vodka)

  • Celery salt

  • Pink himalayan sea salt

First, let me tell you a little bit about each ingredient...

Mott's Clamato The Original is the BEST tomato base. I've tried using the other flavors, I've tried using pre-mixed juices such as Walter Caesar Mix or Bremner's Perfectly Spiced Caesar... but nothing beats Mott's Clamato The Original. Let me tell you about a few of the ingredients in this beautiful concoction and what they can do for your body. Hey, even if it's a small dosage, I'll take it!

Dried clam broth is high in vitamin B12, aids in digestion, helps proper absorption of nutrients, fights fatigue, & helps the release of melatonin. Hello better sleep!

Sea salt helps detoxify the body by flushing out toxins. It contains fluoride which protects teeth from acid damage & prevents cavities. Sea salt helps maintain electrolyte balance and helps balance blood sugar levels.

Vinegar helps control blood sugar... keep that body balanced!!

Tomato paste contains Lycopene - a powerful antioxidant. Goodbye colds, hello beautiful, glowing skin.

Worcestershire contains vitamin B6 which helps build red blood cells. By doing this, it keeps the nervous system healthy. Gotta love feeling good.

Tabasco contains capsaicin, a chili pepper extract, which raises your body temperature, burning more calories! Did someone say metabolism boost?!

Peri-Peri chili seeds are rich in vitamins A, B,& C! Say hello to good vision, higher energy levels, & better iron consumption!

Lemons support heart health from all the vitamin C..yes, vitamin C is good for your heart health too, not just for kicking that cold! Preventing heart damage is important for all ages.

Limes contain vitamin C & flavonoids, the antioxidants that strengthen collagen. This can help keep your skin beautifully hydrated!

Pickle juice contains vinegar which can help your body absorb sodium & potassium and recover electrolyte levels faster! Anyone else crave caesars when they are hungover?

Ice = hydration! Better sleep, more energy.

Habanero & garlic infused vodka...habanero lowers cholesterol <3 heart health! Garlic combats sickness with its loads of nutrients!

Dill pickle vodka... So... I obviously don't want to promote that alcohol is good for you, but, there are a few hidden benefits that can make you feel better when you want to treat yourself on a Saturday night... Vodka can increase blood flow & circulation, preventing strokes! I'll cheers to that!

Celery salt actually contains protein...so you will feel fuller faster and thus, maintain weight easier.

Pink himalayan sea salt can create electrolyte balance and increase hydration in the body!

Directions:

  1. Start with a glass. I prefer a jar glass. It just makes the perfect proportions.

  2. Next, set out two small plates, one for the rimmer, & one for slicing the fruit. Mix the celery salt with the pink himalayan sea salt, enough so you can't see the bottom of the plate. Slice the lemons and limes in the other plate. Depending on the size of the fruit, I typically use 1/4 of each fruit for each drink. Take your lemon wedge and rim the edge of the glass, then immediatly dip the rim into the salt plate. Give it a few spins to coat the rim thich & evenly.

  3. Now that your glass is rimmed, put in 7 ice cubes...trust me, I've experimented with 6 & 8...7 is best!

  4. Pour a small amount of the Clamato to cover the bottom of the glass. This will give your drink a nice base. Nobody likes all the flavour stuck at the bottom.

  5. Add 2 dashes of Tabasco.

  6. I don't count how much worcestershire I use...at least 6 generous shakes.

  7. Add the smallest drop of peri-peri sauce. Seriously, don't over-do this.

  8. Add two lemon and one lime wedge into each glass. Make sure you squeeze as much juice out as you can before plopping it in the jar.

  9. Pickle juice! Just a tablespoon or so. You can also add pickled bean, carrot, or asparagus juice as well. Whatever you have on hand

  10. I never measure my shots when putting the vodka in...could that be the secret? I don't even know how much to tell you. It might be just a little over 1 oz. If you're using the two types of vodka that I had suggested, do half & half.

  11. Stir this into the bottom clamato.

  12. Pour Clamato to the rim.

  13. Add a drop of pickle juice (or whatever you used) to the top and a sprinkle of the rimmer.

  14. Add garnish (see below)

Garnish:

My go-to garnishes are:

  • Pickles

  • Pickled carrots

  • Pickled beans

  • Pickled asparagus

  • Olives - Kalamata or green olives with pimiento

  • Pickled garlic scapes

  • Celery

Cheers my friends! Remember, don't take life too seriously, we are here for a limited time and what we have is a gift! Ps, drink responsibly!
